WeChat Official Account: Computer and Network Security

This book explained the working mechanism of the Linux operating system and the common tools and commands needed to run the Linux system. According to the general order of system startup, this book introduces each part from device management to network configuration in more depth, and finally demonstrates the operation mode of each part of the system, and introduces some basic skills and tools commonly used by developers.

Our reasons for learning Linux may vary. For IT practitioners (such as system operators), they need to know almost everything in this book. For Linux software architects and developers, they also need to know these things in order to get the most out of the operating system. For researchers and students who only need to think about their personal Linux systems, this book can help them understand why systems are the way they are. There are also readers who are all-rounders, fiddling with computers for fun, profit, or other reasons, and like to get to the bottom of things and try different possibilities. Maybe you are one of them.

Mastering Linux (2nd Edition)

(full text omitted)

This book is divided into three parts. The first part introduces the Linux system as a whole and the common tools and commands needed to run the Linux system. We’ll then go into more in-depth sections from device management to network configuration, based on the general order of system startup. At the end, we’ll demonstrate how each part of the system works, and introduce some basic techniques and tools that are commonly used by developers.

The content of this book is guaranteed to be applicable to the Linux system of each edition as far as possible. But it can be tedious to cover the differences between systems, so I try to consider two main Linux distributions: Debian (including Ubuntu) and RHEL/Fedora/CentOS. This book is primarily aimed at desktop and server systems. Embedded systems (such as Android and OpenWRT) are also covered, but the differences between the systems need to be explored on your own.
